Attachments & Internship

An opportunity to thrive on hands on experience

The Zambia-Germany Agricultural Knowledge and Training Centre (AKTC) offers structured internship and attachment opportunities for students seeking practical experience in modern and climate-smart agricultural practices.

Application Procedure

Effective January 2025, all applications for internships and attachments must be submitted via email only to the AKTC Training Coordinator at Genius.Chabinga@gopa-afc.de. Applications sent to any other AKTC member will not be considered.

Applicants must provide the following:

  • A request letter from their school (or a copy of their school certificate)
  • A copy of their National Registration Card (NRC)
  • A cover letter specifying their preferred attachment dates

Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants will be required to take a physical aptitude test before admission. These tests will be conducted at AKTC, located at the Golden Valley Research Trust (GART) Chaloshi Farm in Chisamba.

To enhance accessibility, internship and attachment placements are now structured into quarterly intakes. Applicants are encouraged to check our training calendar or visit our Facebook page for updates on intake periods.

Important Notice

Only applicants who successfully pass the aptitude test will be considered for placement. For further details or inquiries, please contact the AKTC Training Coordinator at Genius.Chabinga@gopa-afc.de.
